Five Star International Events was proudly established in 2017. Our mission is to enhance the lives of young, aspiring athletes by assisting them in their goals to achieve academic and athletic success in the United States.

The first part of your journey towards securing a soccer scholarship at a college or university in the US starts here!

Five Star is here to provide guidance and assistance from the initial consultation all the way through to completing your scholarship. Using our relationships built up over time with trusted US coaches and college institutions, we focus on securing the right scholarship for you!

We also provide a clear picture for some less simpler parts of the process, such as visas, admissions, insurance, plus much more.

Based in Strathclyde Business Park Bellshill, Scotland, we host trial events all across the United Kingdom for BOYS & GIRLS looking to pursue a soccer scholarship in the US. Attending a trial event is a great way of showcasing your skills and abilities in front of our scouts and staff.

Team USA Boys & Girls

All of our Five Star student-athletes will become part of TEAM USA! This is our own client-select Team which involves all Five Star boys and girls playing together as a Team in various tournaments and showcase events. These events are played around many different regions of the UK as well as having the opportunity to travel across Europe to compete in youth tournaments! Led by former Celtic legend Bobby Petta, our TEAM USA squads play competitive matches regularly and frequently as part of the development and preparation required for playing in the USA.

How old do I need to be to get a soccer scholarship in America?

We advise you to begin the process 1 year to 18 months before you leave for America. Typically, our students start the process between 15-21 years old
How many years can I play?

You can only play college soccer for 4 years; you can do your full 4 years at a university or you can do 2 years at a junior college then move on to do your 3rd & 4th year at a university
What subject do I get my degree in?

This is completely your choice, universities and colleges have a huge number of subjects that you can choose to study. The subject you select is the subject you will study and graduate with a degree in.
Where will I live?

You will stay in college or University accommodation with your teammates and college friends.
How do I pay my college fees?

Your college or university will give you a payment plan so you can pay the remainder of your fees over the course of the year. Each college has different payment plans.
What happens when I arrive in America?

When you first arrive in the USA you will be picked up by a soccer coach or a team member from your squad. They will take you to your school to meet your teammates and fellow students.
How important is fitness in the USA?

High levels of fitness is extremely important in the US, as you will be playing sometimes 3 games a week in the extreme heat. To get you in shape, you will complete the Five Star International Events training programme which will get you in perfect condition.
How are Five Star International Events different?

Five Star International Events are different in many ways, our staff are here to help you every step of the way. We have TEAM USA Boys and TEAM USA Girls who play games all over the UK and abroad together as a team. We also have a fitness and nutrition consultant who will work alongside you and help develop your fitness
